چکیده

The invasiveness and low survivability on the part of patients associated with cancer continues to raise global concern. Different approaches have been used in treatment restoration normalcy patients. However, most therapeutic strategies employed are challenged high cost, efficacy, toxicity, multiple side effects. In recent times, emergent studies provided evidence that functional foods their bioactive components serve roles as potential agents prevention cancers. Moreover, interest has focused how this chemoprevention can be explored plant-based medicines for drug development. Although, literature is replete mechanism elicited by individual foods, there limited reports overall anti-cancer mechanisms. Therefore, systematic review aims unify mechanisms cervical, breast, liver cancers which were selected due incidence mortality globally. We reviewed articles from NCBI/PUBMED 2010 until February 2020. Three different search words include “Functional food cervical cancer”; breast hepatocarcinoma”. Consequently, 434 scientific papers resulted three words. after applying inclusion/exclusion criteria, 37 selected: 14 cancer, 10 13 hepatocellular carcinoma. subsequently emphasize various these induction apoptosis, cell cycle arrest, disruption microtubular network, downregulation anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 family expression, autophagy, modulation signaling cascades, ROS generation, suppression specific genes. possess effective Keywords: Cervical Breast Liver Cancer prevention, Functional Bioactive compounds
